Daytona Autos

Our small community of like minded nutters started life at Daytona Autos. Owner Raymond Worrall took interest in the S2000s with one in the family. Soon enough he bought his own and started to become a well known expert in their maintenance and construction. Ray has always wanted to pass on knowledge and help others to work on their own cars. He decided to do something quite magical and opened the garage doors on a Saturday for the owners club. The soon became known as the NW Saturday Club. It was a place to do oil changes and learn about the cars. The whole emphasis of club was for owners to learn and help each other service their cars. This is where I met Ray and the rest of the lads.

Since 2013 I've spent a considerable amount of time with Ray learning about the S2000 and other cars. He has taught me a wealth on knowledge on maintenance, design and repair. It seems like their is no end to his capabilities. We have also spent a considerable amount of time spannering for a Rally team over the winters, which has been a combination of hard work and amazing entertainment (very privileged position to be in). Over the summer months hill climbing and sprinting has become our past times.

Most maintenance and race preparation takes place at Daytona Autos in Congleton Cheshire. There'll be plenty of posts and updates to the car build/preparation. I intend to keep up to date how the car changes to service my own memory as well as act as an open guide to the car.
